NEHALENNIA A5 Art Print

€10.00

Gorgeous medium sized art print of the dutch goddess Nehalennia. For my portrayal of Nehalennia I concentrated on her title as the lady of the North Sea. I drew her surrounded by ocean waves and chose a blue toned soft color palette. A small ship that’s riding on her wavy hair nods to her aspect as a protector of sea folk and sea fare. The greyhound she is accompanied by symbolizes her connection to the underworld and death.

Nehalennia is also a goddess of prosperity - An aspect I tried to emphasize by depicting her with two of her traditionally associated symbols: A basket full of ripe apples and a loaf of bread in her hands known as “duivekater”.

The illustration is printed with lush colors on a satin-soft touch surface. The backside can be written on and is blank except for a small logo illustration.
