Johanna Polle is an independent artist, illustrator, and author.
Her work is heavily influenced by mythology, folklore, and her personal witchcraft practice. Johanna’s first book “Magick at Home” was published in 2020. After four years of creative work and research her card deck “The European Goddesses and Spirits Oracle” was fully funded in under 90 minutes in the 2024 Kickstarter-campaign. In 2025 Johanna started working as a resident tattoo artist in a tattoo parlour in her hometown of Braunschweig, Germany.
Her second deck “Meeting the Baba Jaga Oracle” will come to Kickstarter in fall 2026.
Johanna proudly runs a 100% human made, female owned, independent art business. She creates every illustration, text, video and photo herself. Johanna does not use generative AI in any shape or form.

Johanna Polle does not use any generative AI in her work: illustrations, graphic design, photographs, videos, or texts - everything we she puts out into the world was created with her own hands and brain. Any form of AI-generated content is unethical and untenable on any level.
Generative AI is anti-nature (and therefore anti-human), horrendous for the environment, and incredibly harmful for its users’ cognitive functions, as well as their emotional and psychological well-being. Generative AI is a new form of digital, environmental and human exploitation.
