#OurPlanetWeek Day 2: A Reflection on the Sabbats: BELTANE (Unite)

The second prompt of #OurPlanetWeek is: UNITE and for my pagan wheel of the year reflection I’m going to focus on the BELTANE sabbat.

In the northern hemisphere Beltane takes place anywhere between the 30th of April to May 1st. This sabbat is a fertility festival and represents the union of the Goddess and the God, the Sacred Marriage, resulting in all new life for every living thing.

I put the following correspondences into my illustration for Beltane: The lilacs, tulips and roses starting to grow, the sun gaining more strength and of course the portrait of the union between the Triple Goddess (represented by her moon belt) and the horned God (represented by his growing antlers). I tried to use the typical Beltane colors green, yellow, white and red for my artwork.
